Airlie Beach House 2, QLD

Defined as a platform floating above the landscape the premise for this house was to create a formal connection with the horizon line. The geometry of the house is predominately horizontal to create a seamlessness with the view beyond.

Walls that act as beams connect to the pool which itself is structural to minimise the impact to the ground allowing vegetation to grow wild. A man made object sitting above the jungle.
