Rosslyn Street House

Bellevue Hill, Sydney

This project is a new free standing house in the eastern suburbs of Sydney spread over two levels. The 430m2 house has been designed for a family of 5. Conceptually the home is spatially hinged around a free flowing curvilinear courtyard that is based on the golden section. The golden section is a proportional method often found in nature as its ratios are considered pleasing to the eye. The courtyard creates a private walled garden for all the living areas and is the heart of the house, its shape peeling away to accept gentle eastern and northern sun.
